The basic conceptualization of the museum has changed since its
inception - from the historical evolution of wine labels to a contemporary
international collection that depicts their different features and
commercialization. A simple categorization of the many labels imparts
to the visitor a greater appreciation for the different aspects
of the wine industry, such as production and promotion.
The labels permit the "wines to speak," revealing their
place of origin, history, and year of production, mixing wine with
art, culture, and tradition, and simultaneously, to capture the
attention of the potential buyer. Wine labels convey a tangible
expression of the times, sensitivity, and artistry of any particular
society.
The goal of the International Wine Label Museum of Cupramontana
is to answer any question pertaining to the visual communication
of wine labels through its unique collection.
